Mark was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and completed his medical training at the University of Stellenbosch. He began his career as a General Practitioner (GP) in South Africa before moving to the UK in 2002. There, he continued working as a GP until mid-2018.

In pursuit of new experiences, Mark relocated to Perth, Australia, where he lived for three years. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he faced a challenging two-year separation from his family. This period led him to return to the UK, take early retirement, and embark on a new journey by retraining in Podiatry.

Mark is passionate about all aspects of podiatry, with a particular interest in Biomechanics and Podiatric Medicine. He is also happy to provide care for children.

Outside of his professional life, Mark is married and has two children. He enjoys cooking, baking sourdough bread, and is keen on sustainability. Being South African, he especially loves a good barbecue.
