Minor Surgical Services at Medipod Clinics
Foot problems can be frustrating, painful, and sometimes life-limiting. While routine podiatry can help with many issues, some conditions require a more advanced approach. At Medipod Clinics, we provide a range of minor surgical procedures and injection therapies to address stubborn or recurring foot problems that just won’t go away with standard care.
Every treatment is carried out in a safe and welcoming environment, under local anaesthetic to keep you comfortable. Best of all, we provide full aftercare — so you’ll know exactly how to care for your feet during recovery, with follow-up support from our team.
What We Can Help With
Ingrowing Toenails
An ingrowing toenail can feel like walking on glass — painful, swollen, and prone to infection. If left untreated, the problem often keeps coming back. At Medipod Clinics, we offer traditional nail surgery as well as incisional nail surgery, where part or all of the nail is carefully removed under anaesthetic. This straightforward procedure provides instant relief and helps prevent recurrence.
Corns and Verrucae
Corns form from pressure or rubbing, often from footwear, and can feel like walking on a pebble. Verrucae are warts caused by a virus and may be painful, especially on weight-bearing areas. While many respond to routine care, some are persistent — in these cases, surgical removal can provide faster and more permanent relief.
Lumps and Bumps – Lipomas, Fibromas & Cysts
These soft tissue growths can rub in shoes, cause discomfort, or simply feel like an unwanted nuisance. These procedures are performed by Consultant Podiatrist Mr Somuz Miah and his skilled team from Footmedic in Birmingham. Their expertise in advanced skin and soft tissue surgery ensures safe, effective treatment and excellent results.
Injection Therapies
Plantar Fasciitis and Arthritis
Ongoing heel pain or arthritic joints can make even simple tasks difficult. Our targeted injection therapies are designed to calm inflammation, reduce discomfort, and restore movement — helping you stay active and mobile.
Botox for Excessive Sweating
Excessive sweating of the feet, known as plantar hyperhidrosis, can be embarrassing and hard to control. Botox injections temporarily block the signals that cause the sweat glands to overproduce. The result? Drier, fresher feet and a welcome boost in confidence that can last for months.
Aftercare You Can Rely On
Whichever treatment you have, you’ll receive personalised aftercare instructions, including advice on wound management, dressing changes, and follow-up appointments. Our team is always available to answer questions and guide you through recovery.
